OPERA FOR EVERYONE

«Opera for All» is a social, cultural, educational nationwide project that allows residents of regions to become acquainted with one of the most complex types of theatrical art – opera, which due to the complexity and versatility of the production process is more accessible mainly to residents of megalopolises.

The first work within the framework of the project was the opera “Eugene Onegin” by P.I. Tchaikovsky (Tula, Kaluga, 2015). The musical parts were performed by the Kaluga Youth Symphony Orchestra, the choral parts by the Tula State Choir. Soloists were invited from leading theaters in Russia and Europe.

The development of the project was the production of the opera “The Tsar’s Bride” by N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov at the Chamber Stage of the Bolshoi Theater (Moscow Boris Pokrovsky Chamber Musical Theater), at the State Historical Museum, the Zaryadye Concert Hall and the Tula Kremlin.
